With LÈVRES COLLÉES we see a film that copies the plot of UNE FEMME COLLANTE down to the last detail. However, in Alice Guy the kiss is the assault of a socially superior man, whereas in LÈVRES COLLÉES it is the kiss of two lovers. Thus the satirical-critical aspect of the original is omitted.
