Oskar Fischinger's sketches for Disney's FANTASIA are another example of designs that were not implemented. Like most of his ideas, Walt Disney discarded them as being too elaborate. Nevertheless, Fischinger's contribution to the film can still be seen in a sequence where abstract figures illustrate Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor."
